Minutes before,

American Airlines Flight 11

has been hi-jacked near Boston

 and is heading for NYC. 

 

People are steadily arriving for work,

as on any other Tuesday morning.

8:43 am: NORAD is notified by the Federal Aviation Association that United Flight 175 has been hi-jacked.

8:46 am: American Airlines Flight 11, with 92 people on board, strikes the North tower of the World Trade Center between the 94th and 98th floors.

At this time, the crash was believed to be an accident.

 

8:50 am ~ 8:59 am: During this time period, American Airlines Flight 77 is hi-jacked and turns for Washington D.C.

 

     

 

9:03 am: As people across America watch the live news coverage of the first plane crash, a second plane, United Airlines Flight 175 with 64 people on board, enters the sky, heading directly for the South Tower of the WTC and strikes between the 78th and 84th floors.  At this moment we realized America was under attack from a still unknown enemy.

 

     

9:10 am ~ 9:20 am: United Flight 93 is hi-jacked.

 

9:17 am: All New York City area airports are closed by the Federal Aviation Association.

 

9:21 am: All bridges and tunnels in the New York City area are closed by the New York and New Jersey Port Authorities.

9:29 am: The first reports of casualties at the World Trade Center begin to come in.
