Emily's Ribbed Hat

This hat is very simple to make and knits up quickly.  It works beautifully with any worsted weight yarn.


Size 8 needles
1 strand of Worsted Weight Yarn

Cast on 80 stitches.
 

Knit 7-7.5 inches of K2P2 ribbing.
 

Decrease Rows:

For the first row, K2tog, P2tog across.

Then, knit about an inch of K1P1 ribbing



For the next row K2 tog across row
 

 Purl back across

Then, K2 tog across row

       

   Cut yarn, leaving about twice the length of the finished hat.   Weave the tail back through the stitches on the needle and sew the back seam. Weave through the ends and you are finished!
